Course Memo

Students must complete at least 104 hours of work during the semester at an approved externship site that can be governmental, nonprofit, or private, including work with a private attorney. Onsite hours are to be allocated each week throughout the semester and should not be completed before the last week of classes. Student must attend the externship course that typically meets for six one-hour meetings during the semester, and complete the course requirements, including journal reflections, and midterm and final evaluation meetings with the Externship Director.

Course is graded as Pass/Fail. 

Registration for this course requires the approval of the Director of Externships.

Students should refer to the Academic Catalog and Student Handbook regarding graduation requirements, and limitations on pass/fail credits and externship credits.
